    Originally from Waterbury, Connecticut, Mike Sage is the proud parent of two daughters and the delighted grandparent of four grandchildren. After dedicating 34 years to ATT, he transitioned into retirement. Presently, he is the owner and operator of Silver Springs Kayaking LLC, where he leads guided kayak tours down the scenic Silver River. His passion lies in showcasing "The Real Florida" to both locals and tourists.

    He is an avid nature photographer, a pursuit that has brought him joy throughout. Additionally, he has dedicated over 10 years and contributed more than 2,500 hours of volunteer work to Florida State Parks. Camping, hiking, and photographing various National Parks is central to his hobbies, including exploring iconic locations like the Grand Canyon and numerous parks in the Southwest United States. In recent years, he and his partner Angela have taken pleasure in cruising the Caribbean.

    He served on the Burlington, Connecticut Board of Finance for a decade during the 80s and 90s. Relocating to Orange Blossom Gardens, Lady Lake, in 1986 with his family, he acquired a vacation home in the area in 1990. Eventually, he retired in 2004 and settled in The Village of Country Club Hills on the Historic Side of the Villages in Lady Lake.

    As a representative of Ward 5, his primary goal is to remain accessible to its citizens through various channels, including phone, text, email, social media, and in-person interactions. 

    "It is my duty to serve the residents of Ward 5 by actively listening, addressing their concerns and issues, and providing timely responses," he said. "My affection for the Town of Lady Lake stems from its remarkable growth and improved services, achieved without increasing taxes. The town's safety is attributed to our exceptional police force, and we boast numerous parks and ball fields for everyone's enjoyment. Lady Lake, with its beauty, safety, and one of the lowest tax rates in Lake County, holds a special place in my heart."

    He serves as the liaison for the Parks, Recreation & Tree Advisory Committee.
