Mayor's Welcome

A Message from Mayor Ed Freeman

Man with a mustache wearing a blue shirtWelcome to Lady Lake! I’m thrilled to share with you just a glimpse of what makes our town so special. As the mayor of this charming community, I can tell you firsthand that Lady Lake offers a truly wonderful place to live, work, and play.

Our town is growing economically, thanks in part to our prime location near The Villages and the U.S Highway 441 retail corridor, which makes it easy to connect with neighboring cities. But we are so much more than that. We maintain a small-town feel with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're an entrepreneur looking for a business-friendly environment or a family seeking a safe place to call home, Lady Lake has something for everyone.

We pride ourselves on our rich recreational offerings, from beautiful parks with walking trails like Snooky Park, to a variety of sports clubs and leagues for all ages. Our recreational offerings provide the perfect backdrop for family outings, leisurely strolls, and community events. Speaking of events, we love bringing folks together for festivals, our seasonal weekly Lady Lake Farmers and Crafts market, and other gatherings that celebrate the spirit of Lady Lake.

Our commitment to education is evident in The Villages Elementary of Lady Lake School, which is known for its dedicated staff and supportive learning environment. And if you’re looking to learn something new, the Lady Lake Library offers a wealth of resources and programs for residents of all ages.

Lady Lake is more than just a place to live. It’s a community where everyone can thrive. In our centennial year of 2025, I welcome you to explore what makes Lady Lake unique. I’m confident you’ll find Lady Lake as welcoming and wonderful as I do.

Warmest regards,

Ed Freeman signatureMayor Ed Freeman
