Street Maintenance

The roadways within the Town are maintained by the Public Works Maintenance Department. Our staff maintain more than 62 miles of Town streets.

The department is responsible for street paving, pothole repairs, street sweeping, catch basin cleaning and tree trimming on Town-maintained roads. The department has developed a pavement management program (PMP) to evaluate street conditions and determine a paving schedule. A five-year road maintenance program has been designed and it is updated each year. A catch basin cleaning program is continually ongoing, primarily targeting streets with curb and gutter inlets. The department continues to work on its street-sign replacement program, which is a multi-year, ongoing project.
