Responsibilities
The Town Clerk serves as the official record keeper for the Town of Lady Lake. The Clerk is responsible for preparing Town Council meeting agendas, issuing required public notices, and recording and maintaining minutes of all meetings. In addition, the Clerk manages and preserves the Town’s official records, including ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and agreements, and ensures their proper retention and disposition in accordance with state law.
Pursuant to Section 119.12, Florida Statutes, the Town Clerk is designated as the Town’s custodian of public records. The Clerk is responsible for responding to public records requests and ensuring the accessibility of official documents. Requests may be submitted by phone, email, in person at the Clerk’s Office, or through the Town’s website at www.ladylakefl.gov
