A permit is required for any new construction of a structure intended for commercial use, such as: office, retail, institutional care, hotel/resort, industrial, parking structures, recreation structures, education, or auto service/convenience store.
Submittal Requirements
- Commission approved Site Plan
- Detailed construction plans signed and sealed by an engineer or architect using the most current building codes. All documents shall be properly signed, dated and sealed for the required method of submittal.
- A floor plan.
- Energy calculations, if applicable.
- An application for a utility quote, if connecting to Town water, sewer, or reuse.
- Lake County Impact Fee Receipt or deferral letter
- Truss layouts, if applicable.
- A recorded Notice of Commencement will be required prior to the first inspection for any projects with a job value over $5,000.
Certificate of Occupancy
A Certificate of Occupancy shall not be issued until all inspections have passed, the required departments have given their approval, and all fees have been paid. All projects connecting to Town water and sewer will require approval from the Town of Lady Lake Utilities Department.
