A Certificate of Occupancy shall not be issued until all inspections have been completed, the required departments have given their final approval, and all fees have been paid.
Prior to issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy the following will need to be verified or completed:
- Projects connecting to the Towns water and sewer will require approval from the Town’s Utilities department.
- A site visit will be performed to verify the following:
- Lot has had seeded or sod has been laid.
- Required Canopy tree(s) have been planted.
- Construction debris, portable toilets, and dumpsters have been cleared from the property.
- Site address numbers have been posted and are clearly visible from the public or private right-of-way on which the building fronts (Arabic numerals not less than four inches in height and one-half inches in width per Town Ordinance 88-30).
- Completion of any additional permits including but not limited to garage, carport, lanai, fire alarm, fire sprinkler, low voltage etc.
- CO release from The Department of Health Department (if connecting to a septic tank).
- Driveway apron has been inspected and poured (if applicable)
- As- Built Survey to verify setbacks and minimum square footage requirements per zoning code.
- Lake County Impact fees have been paid.
